Paying for Mailchimp: what to know
- USD is the default currency, but you can change it on the Billing page. With a dollar card, keep it on USD to avoid exchange-rate conversion.
- The 14-day trial on Essentials and Standard asks for payment details at signup, and the paid plan starts automatically when it ends.
- Monthly plans are charged automatically on the same day each month, based on your start date. The amount depends on your plan and contact count.
- Going over your contact or send limits on a paid plan triggers overage charges.
- You can only remove a card after pausing or cancelling every plan with automatic payments.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.
- Still not working? Message support at @VirtCardPaySupportbot and we'll sort it out.
