How to pay for Grab with a VirtCardPay card
- Open @VirtCardPaybot in Telegram and press Start.
- Top up your balance with USDT (TRC-20 or BEP-20) or TON.
- Issue a Mastercard in euros (EUR): it has no merchant restrictions.
- Add the card on the Payment tab of the Grab app, then select it in the payment method field on the booking screen.
- If a 3-D Secure confirmation is requested, the code arrives as a message in the bot.

Paying for Grab: what to know
- When you book, Grab holds the upper-bound fare shown in the app, which depends on vehicle type and time. For example, with a 290 THB hold and a 200 THB ride, 90 THB is returned.
- Grab releases the hold within 30–60 minutes after the ride ends or is cancelled, but your bank may show the refund later. If you ride often, keep enough for several holds at once.
- Rides are charged in local currency, such as baht, ringgit or pesos, and converted to euros, so the euro amount may differ slightly from the in-app price.
- You can check holds and charges in the app under recent transactions on the Payment tab, or on the Activity tab for a specific ride.
- The same card works for GrabFood, which also places a hold first, so don't freeze the card right after ordering.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.
- Still not working? Message support at @VirtCardPaySupportbot and we'll sort it out.
FAQ
Why did Grab hold more than the ride cost?
Grab holds the upper-bound fare and refunds the difference after the ride. On Grab's side the hold is released within 30–60 minutes.
Which currency will Grab charge my euro card in?
The local currency of the country you're riding in, then converted to euros at the card network's rate.
Where can I check whether a Grab hold was released?
Under recent transactions on the Payment tab, or in Activity for that ride. If Grab shows it as released but your card doesn't, check your statement in the VirtCardPay bot again after a few days.
How much do I need to put on the card?
At issue, from $30 / €30 goes straight onto the card. After that, top up from $30 / €30; the top-up fee is 4%. Keep the charge amount on the card plus a small margin.
Is it safe?
Only you see the card details — in the bot and your dashboard. 3-D Secure codes arrive in Telegram, and you can freeze the card in one tap.
