How to pay for Render with a VirtCardPay card
- Open @VirtCardPaybot in Telegram and press Start.
- Top up your balance with USDT (TRC-20 or BEP-20) or TON.
- Issue a Visa card in US dollars (USD): Render is on the list of services it works with.
- Add the card under Billing in your workspace settings, where you also see build minutes and bandwidth usage. Render asks for a card when you launch your first paid service.
- If a 3-D Secure confirmation is requested, the code arrives as a message in the bot.

|---|---|

Paying for Render: what to know
- Hobby is free and Pro is $25/mo, and both add compute on top: the cheapest paid instance, Starter, is $7/mo.
- Even on free instances, with a card on file Render bills for bandwidth and build minutes over the included amount. Without a card it just suspends Free services for the rest of the month.
- Blueprints default to the paid Starter instance. Set plan: free if you want to stay free, or the card will be charged.
- Free Postgres databases expire 30 days after creation (plus a 14-day grace period to upgrade), so plan to pay if you need the database longer.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.
- Still not working? Message support at @VirtCardPaySupportbot and we'll sort it out.
FAQ
Do I need a card for Render's free plan?
Free instances don't require one. Without a card, though, Render suspends services if you exceed the bandwidth allowance and disables new builds for the rest of the month.
What does Render actually cost per month?
The workspace plan (Hobby $0 or Pro $25) plus each instance, e.g. $7 for Starter, plus any bandwidth and build minutes beyond what's included.
Why did Render charge me on a free instance?
Most likely you went over the free bandwidth or build-minute allowance. With a card on file, Render bills that automatically.
How much do I need to put on the card?
At issue, from $30 / €30 goes straight onto the card. After that, top up from $30 / €30; the top-up fee is 4%. Keep the charge amount on the card plus a small margin.
Is it safe?
Only you see the card details — in the bot and your dashboard. 3-D Secure codes arrive in Telegram, and you can freeze the card in one tap.
