How to pay for Perplexity with a VirtCardPay card
- Open @VirtCardPaybot in Telegram and press Start.
- Top up your balance with USDT (TRC-20 or BEP-20) or TON.
- Issue a Visa card in US dollars (USD): Perplexity is on the list of services it works with.
- On the web, open Settings (perplexity.ai/account/details), click Upgrade Plan in the Subscription section and pick a plan. You'll then be taken to a Stripe payment page.

Paying for Perplexity: what to know
- A valid card is required to start a trial or redeem a promo. You aren't charged during the trial, but it then renews at the full price.
- Yearly Max at $2,000 is available only in the web app, not in the mobile apps.
- If you bought Pro on the web, upgrade on the web too: upgrading in the mobile app creates a second, separate Max subscription.
- Don't update payment through the App Store or Google Play for a web subscription, or you'll end up with a second subscription and a double charge.
- Invoices are under Account → Manage Plan → Invoice History.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.

Can I get a refund for Perplexity Pro?
It depends on your region: for example, 14 days in the EU, UK and Turkey, and otherwise 24 hours for monthly and 72 hours for annual plans.
How much is Max, and how is the upgrade from Pro billed?
Max is $200 a month, or $2,000 a year on the web. When you upgrade from Pro on the web, your remaining balance carries over and you pay the prorated difference.
Can I pause my subscription?
No, pausing isn't available. You can only cancel; after the paid period ends, your account reverts to the free plan.
How much do I need to put on the card?
