Paying for DeepSeek: what to know
- Prices are listed in dollars while the card is in euros, so the amount is converted at payment. Keep a little extra on the card.
- Once your balance hits zero, the API returns error 402 right away, with no grace period. Watch your balance if you run a live service on DeepSeek.
- Off-peak tokens cost half the peak rate; peak hours are 01:00–04:00 and 06:00–10:00 UTC on weekdays.
- Granted balance is used before topped-up balance, and granted balance can expire.
- Unused balance can be refunded only as a lump sum through support, minus handling fees; partial refunds aren't offered.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.
