Paying for Netflix: what to know
- Netflix bills monthly on the date you signed up. There are no annual or multi-month plans, so top up the card before that date each month.
- Plans and prices vary by account country: Standard with ads, Standard and Premium cost different amounts in different places, and you're billed in the account's currency. If it isn't USD, your card converts it.
- In some countries taxes are added on top of the plan price, so the charge can be slightly higher than the listed price.
- An extra member costs extra and is added to your monthly bill, so factor it into your top-up.
- Netflix never asks for card details by text or email. Only enter your card in your account on netflix.com or in the app.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
