Paying for Envato Elements: what to know
- When you add a card, Envato may run a $1, €1 or £1 verification charge. It's voided afterwards, but the card needs the funds for it.
- The name and address in your billing details should match what the card issuer has. For a VirtCardPay card, check them against the details in the bot.
- The annual plan costs about half the monthly one but is charged for the full year. Envato doesn't refund cancelled subscriptions.
- Prices exclude local tax, which is added at checkout.
- A card changed in My Account only applies from the next cycle. If the current charge failed, top up the old card.
If the payment fails
- Check the balance of the card itself, not the main balance in the bot: the charge goes to the card.
- Re-enter the number, expiry date and CVC: a typo is a common reason for a decline.
- Don't retry many times in a row: payment systems may temporarily decline frequent attempts. Wait and try again.
