Opening a virtual card in VirtCardPay is a process designed to take 5-10 minutes from start to a card ready for payment. Let's walk through the steps and highlight potential pitfalls.
Step 1. Registration (1-2 minutes)
Open the VirtCardPay Telegram bot or go to the website. Registration via Telegram is the fastest because we automatically receive your Telegram ID and link it to your account without a separate password.
On first login, the bot will offer a short onboarding. This is not full KYC — just email, name, basic information. Full verification is only required for transactions above a certain limit.
Step 2. Top Up Balance (2-5 minutes)
To issue a card, you need funds in your main balance. VirtCardPay accepts top-ups via:
- USDT TRC-20 — the fastest and cheapest channel. The address is shown in your account under the Top Up section. Transfers usually arrive within 1-3 minutes after transaction confirmation on the Tron network.
- USDT ERC-20 — higher network fees, but if you have USDT in this network, it is used without conversion.
- BTC — to your dedicated BTC address. Credited after 1 confirmation on the Bitcoin network (usually 10-20 minutes).
Do not send funds in a different network than specified: USDT TRC-20 sent to the Ethereum network will not be credited.
Step 3. Issue Card (30 seconds)
In the Cards section, click the Issue Card button. Choose the card type (virtual), currency (USD or EUR), and the amount to top up the card from your account. The issuance fee is shown at this step — no unpleasant surprises.
After confirmation, the card is created — you will see the number, expiry date, and CVV in your account. These details can be used immediately for payments.
Step 4. First Payment (1 minute)
Open the service where you want to pay. Enter the card details: 16-digit number, expiry date, CVV, and name (you can use the name from your account or a neutral one like Card Holder). For payments above a certain amount, a 3DS confirmation will be sent — you will see the code in the Telegram bot and in your account.
What to Do If Something Goes Wrong
Top-up not arriving. Check: is the network correct, has the transaction been confirmed on the blockchain (on etherscan.io or tronscan.org)? If the transaction went through but hasn't been credited, it should appear within half an hour. After that, contact support with the TXID.
Card not accepted on a website. The specific merchant may block virtual BINs, the amount may exceed the card limit, or the site may require AVS verification (cardholder address) — check the response in your account.
3DS not received. Make sure the Telegram bot is open. Sometimes notifications are delayed — check the notifications section in the bot itself.
