Topping up a virtual card via USDT is a standard operation in VirtCardPay. Here's what technically happens and what to pay attention to.

Step 1. Get a Top-Up Address

In your personal account, go to the Top Up section. Select USDT and the network (TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20 available). An address and QR code will appear.

Each client has a personal address for each network, and it does not change. You can save it in your wallet or exchange address book as VirtCardPay and transfer there without re-copying.

Step 2. Send USDT

From your wallet, exchange, or other service, send USDT to this address. Key points:

  • Correct network. If you received an address for TRC-20, you can only send via the Tron network. Sending ERC-20 to a TRC-20 address = funds lost without recovery.
  • Minimum amount. Usually from $1. Smaller amounts are not credited (processing fees consume everything).
  • Network fee. Deducted from your sending wallet, not from the received amount. On TRC-20 it's about $1, on ERC-20 it depends on Ethereum congestion.

Step 3. Wait for Crediting

After the transaction is confirmed on the network, VirtCardPay automatically credits USDT to your main balance. This usually takes 1-3 minutes on Tron, 3-10 minutes on Ethereum.

You can check the transaction status in a blockchain explorer using the TXID: for Tron – tronscan.org, for Ethereum – etherscan.io. If the transaction is confirmed on the network but not credited within 30 minutes, contact support with the TXID.

Step 4. Top Up the Card from Your Account

Once USDT is on your main balance, transfer it to a specific card. In the Cards section, select the desired card, click Top Up, and enter the amount.

Crediting to the card is instant. The USDT-to-card currency (USD or EUR) conversion rate is shown before confirmation to avoid surprises.

What to Pay Attention To

USDT to USD rate on the card. USDT usually trades nearly 1:1 with the dollar, but the exact rate depends on the market at the time of conversion. It is visible in the confirmation window.

Card top-up fee. Depends on your tariff plan and card type. Typically a small percentage.

Terminal reserve. When making payments, part of the amount may be frozen by the merchant (e.g., a hotel blocks a deposit upon check-in). Keep this in mind when topping up – the card should have slightly more than the purchase amount.
