Major South Korean crypto exchange Upbit announced the listing of nine new tokens. Among them are PEAQ, LIT, and AMP, now available for trading against Bitcoin (BTC) and the stablecoin Tether (USDT).
Which Tokens Were Added?
The full list of new assets includes:
- PEAQ
- LIT
- AMP
- and six other tokens (full list available on Upbit's website).
All are traded against both BTC and USDT. This expands options for traders, allowing them to choose between volatile BTC and stable USDT.
Practical Value for Users
For USDT holders, this means they can now buy new tokens directly without converting USDT to BTC. This saves time and reduces fees, especially if you use the TRC-20 network for USDT transfers — low fees and high speed.
Market Dynamics and Liquidity
Listings on Upbit traditionally attract increased interest and trading volumes. Adding USDT pairs may lower the entry barrier for retail investors who prefer stablecoins for their stability.
Important: listing on an exchange does not guarantee token price growth. Cryptocurrency trading carries high risks.
VirtCardPay's Take
If you plan to trade new tokens, pay attention to the USDT network. TRC-20 provides fast and cheap transfers, which is especially relevant for active trading. Use VirtCardPay virtual cards to quickly fund your exchange account with USDT.
