Standard Chartered Predicts 33x Rally for Morpho by 2030
British bank Standard Chartered, which previously made bullish calls on Ethereum (ETH) and Aave (AAVE), has now turned its attention to a new altcoin – Morpho (MORPHO). Analysts at the bank set a price target of $60 by 2030, implying a roughly 33x increase from current levels (around $1.8).
Why Morpho?
Morpho is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that optimizes crypto lending and borrowing. Standard Chartered believes that tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) will increasingly integrate with DeFi, boosting demand for platforms like Morpho. The bank expects the tokenized asset market to reach trillions of dollars by 2030.
Previous Bank Calls
Standard Chartered has made bold crypto predictions before. The bank previously forecast Ethereum to reach $8,000–10,000 by end of 2026, and also predicted a significant rise for Aave. While these targets haven't always been met on time, the bank remains one of the most crypto-positive traditional financial institutions.
What This Means for Investors
Standard Chartered's projections are based on a long-term scenario of mass DeFi adoption and asset tokenization. However, the crypto market is highly volatile, and achieving such targets depends on many factors, including regulation and competition.
