For anyone paying for overseas services with crypto, there is a new tool in the box: uvd-x402-sdk 0.82.0 has been published on PyPI — a Python SDK for x402 payments. Its headline feature is gasless transactions across 25 blockchains, meaning users don't need to hold a network's native token just to cover the fee.
What's inside
Supported networks reportedly include XRPL, Scroll, SKALE and even Robinhood Chain. On the stablecoin side, the SDK works with USDC, EURC, AUSD, PYUSD, USDT and USDG. That's not a single-coin lock-in but multi-stablecoin logic — you can pick the asset that fits the job.
ERC-8004 and escrow
The SDK lists ERC-8004 Trustless Agents — a standard for autonomous agents that move money without a trusted intermediary. It also includes escrow and refunds: funds are locked until conditions are met and can be returned if a deal falls through.
Why it matters in practice
- Fees. A gasless flow removes the need to keep network coins separate from your stablecoin. For small payments that's crucial: the fee shouldn't eat the payment itself.
- Speed and network choice. With 25 chains to choose from, the route can be matched to the task — sometimes cheapness wins, sometimes fast confirmation does. The classic example is TRC-20 versus ERC-20: TRC-20 is usually cheaper and faster for USDT, while ERC-20 costs more in gas but is more widely accepted in DeFi.
- Assets. Supporting USDT and USDC in one toolkit makes switching between stablecoins easier without rewriting logic.
Gasless payments are an attempt to remove the main barrier to small crypto transactions: users shouldn't have to buy network tokens just to pay with a stablecoin.
Who benefits
The SDK targets developers building payment flows: subscriptions, service payments, automated settlements between agents. For end users of virtual cards and crypto payments, it means more such scenarios over time — and cheaper ones, thanks to fewer links in the chain.
