TNG eWallet now lets you search SSM company records and download official documents

If you need to verify a Malaysian business or obtain more background information, you can now do it directly from TNG eWallet. TNG Digital has announced the integration of SSM e-Info, allowing users to search registered companies and businesses, as well as purchase and download official documents.

What is SSM e-Info?

SSM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia) is the Companies Commission of Malaysia, which maintains a registry of all registered businesses. SSM e-Info is an online service that provides access to company data, including registration number, status, address, and directors.

How does it work?

A new section in the TNG eWallet app lets users enter a company name or registration number. After paying a small fee (around 10–20 MYR), users can view and download a PDF extract from the registry containing official SSM information.

Why is this useful?

  • Counterparty verification: Before making a deal or transferring funds, you can confirm that the company exists and is in good standing.
  • Security: Reduces the risk of fraud where scammers impersonate real companies.
  • Convenience: No need to visit the SSM website or office — everything is done within the familiar app.

Practical tips

  1. Always verify a company before a large transaction or transfer to a business account.
  2. Compare SSM data with information provided by the counterparty (name, address, registration number).
  3. Save extracts for your accounting or as proof of due diligence.

VirtCardPay's take

While TNG eWallet is a payment tool, the integration with SSM e-Info shows how fintech services can enhance user security. When paying for overseas services or working with cryptocurrencies, a similar approach — verifying the counterparty — helps avoid losses. Remember: security starts with verification.
