Mastercard and Denmark's Danske Bank have announced the country's first payment fully executed by an AI agent: it selected a product and paid for it on behalf of a customer. According to Mastercard, the transaction was processed through its Agent Pay platform. An AI agent independently found the desired item and initiated the payment using the Danske Bank customer's credentials.
